We are so excited to announce that we (Natalie, Kayla, Christie & myself…with your help!) will be co-writing a Bible study! We are partnering with the creative folks at Group to launch a new Wonderfully Made Bible study series.
In 2012 we plan to re-release HEAL: Healthy Eating & Abundant Living and publish a brand new study tentatively titled “Wonderfully Made: Becoming Who You Are in Christ.”
We’ve heard from so many of you who’ve been looking for more resources for yourself, your friends and the girls you mentor, so we’re thankful for the opportunity to reach more girls with the truth about our value and worth.
I’m excited for this project to be a collaborative effort and we sincerely want each of you to be a part of the journey! As we tackle the writing process we will be reaching out to you to for your stories, input, ideas and prayer support.
What topics, verses and struggles related to identity and worth would like to see us address in our upcoming study?
The Bible study sounds so cool! Can't wait for it to come out! As for something to address, could you possibly all share individually from your own heart, how Jesus makes a difference in your life and how you find worth and value from him personally?
ReplyDeleteYes, we absolutely will...thank you for confirming the importance of sharing our stories.
ReplyDeleteWe really appreciate your input. Keep in coming!
Thank you so much for your excitement and encouragement!
SO excited that you want to provide more resources! I lead a bible study in northern minnesota at a small college that is primarily women. Some of the things God is pressing in on my girls is body image, purpose in the midst of college as well as in their futures, healthy relationships with men, comparison with other women, skewed images of themselves (both physical image and the image they believe God sees), and the concept of God loving them as "ragamuffins" (that they don't need to be perfect to come to the feet of their Savior)... among others. In planning and praying for this school year, those were some of the topics that came to the surface and I can't wait to see what you lovely ladies come up with.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could address, learning to let God love us - how to really experience Him and the love He has for us. So many times we turn to everything/everyone other than God to try to fill our empty or broken hearts.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for all that the Lord will do through this new study. I am praying for this mighty work at hand.
ReplyDeleteGod has been pressing the basics of the faith in my heart for this generation. So many "young" Christians can be likened to alkaseltzer, their faith fizzles, it fades and they sink. They were never grounded or disciplined in the basics of who is the Holy Spirit, being a student of the Word, a life prayer, the power of fasting and most importantly obedience. I know that's a lot to chew but focusing in on these basics will yield much fruit.
