I love that our God is a god of REDEMPTION. He really does redeem the broken and sad part of our lives. I think I'm the process of learning to trust people. After an incident of being bullied as a child I became really timid and thought I had to EARN the love of the people in my life. Recently God showed me that people love me JUST because I'm me and I never have to strive or perform to earn that love. It's so liberating to know that I am loved!
When I was dating a guy who was very manipulative and controling and he was not at all what God desired for me. At all. But being the hard-headed person I am I stayed in that relationship with him until it broke me and a lot of the friendships I had. After I broke up with him, God was there placing me back together and strengthening some of those friendships I thought I'd lost. Wasn't an easy process, but thankfully our God is stronger than our weaknesses.
