I've worked so long for either myself or other people and not for the Lord. To change that I've learned that my motivation in everything I do needs to be to glorify God in what I'm doing and not pleasing myself or pleasing others. It's definitely not easy pushing through the selfish thoughts or the wants to please other people, but I feel wayyy more accomplished when I choose to serve the Lord through serving to glorify Him and not to make myself feel good or make others like me.
